Scrolls by Paul Elard Cooley
This is another in the Garaaga’s Children series by Mr. Cooley. He’s not yet released a story description, so you’re just going to have to wait for this one. From what I hear, it should be going live in August some time.
I don’t have much in the way of insight on this one. This series kind of designs itself at this point being as it’s the third in the set now. They all have the same sky, but different background scenery and main focal element. Sometimes it can be a lot of trouble to find just the right elements to composite, but this one really came together quickly. Can I tell you how excited I was to find this flaming scroll? It fits SO perfectly with the story (which you’ll all find out soon enough, but you won’t find spoilers here!).
I’ll update the post as soon as the details for where to find it are available.

Beautifully done! The muted colors of the background help the other elements to pop, and the mottled stone texture on the text (can’t quite tell if it’s marble or granite) fits the theme nicely. The lighting from directly above on the title is very dramatic. The series title at the top is a little hard to read, doe to a combination of the unfamiliar word, the lower contrast of deep red on black, and the fact that the ‘a’s are unusually proportioned with the low crossbar, and that over half the letters in the word are ‘a’s. I might have made the scroll slightly less transparent, so the columns behind didn’t distract from the color of the paper, but only if you can leave the flames as they are. Those are my two nit-picks. And they are the nittiest of things to pick, and it’s a wonderful cover, so please take them as constructive. Or slap me.
A big fan of your art and writing,
